Netherlocks Safety systems BV has developed a âone-fits-allâ? lockout device for handwheel- and lever-operated valves. At the moment these require several type of lockout devices, such as covers (in several sizes) and chains. Netherlocks consulted several chemical plant engineers, after which the need for a âone-fits-allâ? lockout device became evident. Therefore Netherlocks developed the patented NL-H lockout unit. This NL-H unit is able to lockout everything that can rotate or slide, whatever the size or shape of the unit. Thus the need for a large stock of several devices is eliminated. Also, maintenance engineers can carry this small device in their toolbox. Aventis has selected the tool to increase its safety level.
