Olympic Steel’s Milford facility gets new GM

Olympic Steel promoted Gerry Phillips as the general manager at the company’s facility in Milford, Connecticut. He assumed the role on 1 January 2015, when he took over from Michael O’Hara, who has retired after more than 24 years of service.

Phillips began his career with Olympic Steel in 1992 as a materials manager at the Milford, Connecticut, facility, and was subsequently promoted to regional material manager. In his new role, he is responsible for the daily management of the Milford operation, reporting to John Mooney, vice president–Eastern Region.
