Stelax Industries Ltd has received an agreement for 44 tons of Nuovinox reinforcing bar (rebar) for the State of Florida Department of Transportation. The rebar will be used as a non-corrosive solution for the Jensen Beach Causeway in Martin County. The project is schedule for letting in December 2001 with delivery to the State due early spring 2002. Nuovinox is carbon steel that is clad with stainless steel. It is used for the building, maintaining and extending the life cycle of North America’s highways and bridges. Stelax Industries makes Nuovinox rebar, dowels and flat bar.
