Nucor Corp. has announced election of Raymond J. Milchovich to the board of directors effective 5 September 2002. Mr Milchovich, 52, is currently Chairman, President and CEO of Foster Wheeler Ltd. Foster Wheeler is a global company offering, through its subsidiaries, a broad range of design, engineering, construction, manufacturing, project development and other services. Mr Milchovich joins the Nucor board of directors with more than 30 years of manufacturing experience. He began his career in various roles at Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel and Wisconsin Steel. Mr. Milchovich joined Kaiser Aluminum & Chemical Corp. as Operations Manager for flat-rolled products manufacturing in 1980, advancing through a series of increasingly responsible assignments in manufacturing. Mr Milchovich was elected President and Chief Operating Officer of Kaiser Aluminum in 1997, CEO in 1999, and Chairman in 2001. He joined Foster Wheeler in late 2001 as Chairman, President and CEO.
