Nuclear power projects in India

Outokumpu has announced that it is eyeing various nuclear power projects in India to supply premium-grade steel. Outokumpu will supply stainless steel plates for the country’s nuclear power applications.  At present, the overall demand for stainless steel flat products in the country’s industrial segment is around four lakh tonnes. The demand for industrial grades is set to grow by three to four times over the next decade, says Outokumpu. The company will showcase its product range in the three-day “India Nuclear Energy 2009-International Exhibition and Conference” from 13-15 November at Mumbai.
