Norway: underwater production system

Hydro has awarded the contract for supply of underwater production systems for the satellite field Oseberg Delta in the North Sea to FMC Kongsberg Subsea AS. The contract is worth approximately NOK 160 million. The work is a complete procurement and construction contract including planning, procurement, fabrication and testing of two well head systems, two horizontal subsea trees, production control systems and a template manifold. The production unit will be built with space for four subsea well head trees and the option to connect a satellite structure. Planning work, procurement, fabrication and testing will take place in 2005 and 2006. The base frame and manifold are planned to be installed in the field during the summer of 2006, and the well head tree system is planned to be delivered in the fall of the same year. Production from the underwater installation on Oseberg Delta will be connected to the Oseberg D platform. Production is planned to commence in the fall of 2007.
