Norsk Titanium signs MoU with Clarkson University

Norsk Titanium AS, a pioneering supplier of aerospace-grade, additive manufactured, structural titanium components has recently declared that its subsidiary, Norsk Titanium US Inc. has recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding outlining a strategic relationship with Clarkson University in Potsdam, New York.

Under the terms of the agreement, Norsk Titanium and Clarkson University will join forces with the common aim of developing new research projects relating to advanced metal additive manufacturing through Norsk’s proprietary Rapid Plasma Deposition™ (RPD™) process, create education programs to prepare Clarkson graduates for careers in additive manufacturing, launch workforce training programs in support of Norsk’s Plattsburgh production facility, and execute technology demonstration and transfer opportunities together.

Officials from Norsk Titanium and Clarkson University held a program summit meeting on the Clarkson campus to kick off the joint initiative. Attendees included University President Tony Collins, Provost Charles Thorpe, and Norsk Titanium CEO Warren Boley and Senior VP of Operations Chris Bohlmann.
