NMDC commissions Bailadila Iron Ore Deposit 11B

NMDC commissioned its new Project Bailadila Iron Ore Deposit 11B located in Bailadila Region of Dakshin Bastar district in the State of Chhattisgarh. NMDC announced that the project has an iron ore production capacity of 7MTPA with an investment of approx. EUR 90M.

Narendra Kothari, CMD, NMDC inaugurated 11B Project in presence of Narendra K. Nanda, director (Technical); Rabindra Singh, director (Personnel); Dr T.R.K. Rao, director (Commercial); P.K.Satpathy, director (Production); D.S. Ahluwalia, director (Finance) and other senior officials of NMDC along with senior executives of technological partners.

Kothari said: “This is one of the milestones in fulfilling NMDC’s dream to produce more than 100Mt of iron ore and help in achieving the Nation’s target of producing 300Mt of steel.”

NMDC is a government owned mineral producing company administrated by the Ministry of Steel in India.
