Nisshin Steel wants to up stainless output

Nisshin Steel Co. is considering ways to further raise its stainless steel output capacity in China, though it has not decided on any specific steps yet. “We intend to expand our Chinese stainless steel business because the market is growing there,” a spokesman for the Japanese steelmaker said. It is said that Nisshin intends to begin building a new mill adjacent to the existing facilities as early as this summer to boost the capacity to 600,000 tpy in about two years.
