Nissan Almera to use Severstal rolled steel

The Cherepovets Steel Mill, one of the largest integrated steel mills in the world and part of Severstal’s Russian Steel Division, signed another agreement for the supply of rolled steel for the production of Nissan Almera model.

Cold rolled steel produced by OAO Severstal will be used in the production of internal and face parts of Nissan Almera cars produced in Togliatti, Russia’s Samara region, on the BO production line, built in the cooperation framework of Renault-Nissan and AvtoVAZ Alliance. Deliveries of rolled steel under this agreement were launched in July 2013 and will last until March 2014.

Dmitry Goroshkov, sales and marketing director of Severstal’s Russian Steel Division, commented, “Severstal confirms its leading positions for international automakers operating in Russia.
