Nippon and Sumitomo’s 50 years relationship with Shell

Nippon Steel Corporation (Nippon Steel), Sumitomo Corporation and Shell held a ceremony in The Hague, the Netherlands, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the tubular steel supply.
At the ceremony, Nippon Steel and Sumitomo Corporation looked back on the successful history of the relationship, and Shell once again commended Nippon Steel and Sumitomo Corporation’s ability to deliver value by providing a total solution service of high-quality products tailored to Shell’s needs, enhanced supply chain management services, and a steady response to localization requirements.
Nippon Steel, Sumitomo Corporation and Shell pledged to further strengthen their relationship, and have agreed to accelerate their collaboration beyond tubular supply into the energy transition more broadly, including areas such as hydrogen and CCS, with the goal of jointly accelerating the shift towards a carbon neutral society.
Nippon Steel and Sumitomo Corporation will continue to enhance their product and service capabilities to meet Shell’s demands.
