Parker Instrumentation has extended the versatility of its one-piece clamp for instrumentation tubing Snap-Trap, with a new fitting tool and accessories. The clamps are resistant to corrosion and comply with the NORSOK offshore standard. Two sizes of Snap-Trap handle the spectrum of metric and imperial instrumentation tubing diameters up to 25mm/1inch. A new dedicated fitting tool is now available for easily opening and closing the clamp’s ratchet-based clamping mechanism. A wider range of tube mounting trays – along with 316 stainless steel fixings – is also now offered, providing solutions to suit instrument tubing applications. Made from stainless steel, Snap-Trap is a square component with a U-shaped body and a hinged top arm. As the arm closes, it progressively grips the tubing using a ratchet-style mechanism. The flexibility of this action allows each clamp to accommodate a wide range of tube sizes. The smaller 27mm-square Snap-Trap accepts 6 to 12mm or 1/4 to 1/2inch tube sizes; the larger 47mm-square clamp accepts tubes of 12 to 25mm or 1/2 to 1inch.
