New technology treats process wastewater

Nature Environmental Solutions Ltd (NESL) has delivered a 100,000 litre continuous biological treatment unit to a large Danish manufacturer. The unit, which was engineered in stainless steel by specialist fabricators Axium Process, is modular in construction and designed to treat 4500 litres per hour of effluent. The system comprises of three custom designed tanks, a specialist aeration system, semi-automatic controls and comprehensive instrumentation with a facility to link to an existing site SCADA system. The feed system incorporates a duplex Pure-Screen filter system. The NESL process allows continuous in-stream treatment of effluent waste before discharge to the environment. The process generates no side products such as sludges and efficiently reduces all pollutants to below Danish Environmental Agency discharge parameters.
