New steel processing centre in Vietnam

JFE Shoji Trade Corporation will be establishing a steel processing centre in north region of Vietnam. The centre named JFE Shoji Steel Hai Phong (JSHP) will be located the in VSIP Hai Phong industry park in Hai Phong City. Built at an expense of USD 7M, the plant occupies a total area of 13,800sq.m with a works area of approximately 5,500sq.m. It will contain one big slitter line and one small slitter line.

JFE Shoji Steel Vietnam (JSSV) has already commenced its operation in May of 2007. This will enable JFE Shoji to capture demands for steel products all over the Vietnam utilising processing functions of both JSHP and JSSV.

JFE Shoji currently operates fifteen steel processing centres, including five in China, two in Thailand, and one each in Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippine, Indonesia, Vietnam, Mexico and India. The new centre will take this number up to sixteen.
