China-based Jiangsu Xihu Special Steel will commission its test production for a 200,000tpy stainless drawing quality stainless steel wire rod line in July of this year. The company is a privately-owned stainless steel company whose purpose is to make stainless steel round-bar, but with 30,000tns tpy production ability currently it will raise its capacity up to 200,000 to 250,000tns tpy after the new high speed line is completed. The new line can produce the rod diameter in range of 5.5mm in 200, 300 and 400 series stainless steel, according to a company official.
