Atlas Copco Specialty Rental and Mainticare Ltd’s new partnership has brought high quality compressors and related products and services to North African customers. The partnership agreement, which was signed in Malta, covers oil and gas (O&G) equipment rental services. The agreement sees integrated support to service off- and onshore O&G customers operating within the Mediterranean and North African sectors. The partnership will focus upon potential North African O&G business. It will also build upon existing links with operations in all Mediterranean countries with a special focus on Algeria, Egypt, Libya and others. The strengthened customer support will be facilitated by the location of Mainticare Ltd. Strategically located along the main shipping routes linking the continents of Europe, North Africa and Asia. Mainticare’s Maltese base is about 95km south of Italy and nearly 290km from Tunisia. The Atlas Copco Specialty Rental product range available through the partnership will include both oil-free and oil-injected air compressors, generators, nitrogen membrane units, air boosters, dryers and auxiliary equipment and other O&G related equipment. Effective 1 July 2010, Peter Smets, Business Development Manager O&G for Atlas Copco Specialty Rental, will be based full-time in Malta. He will co-ordinate and further develop the O&G business to meet and exceed customers’ demands while striving for service excellence.
