Mitsubishi Gas Chemical Company will construct a Nylon-MXD6 production facility in Richmond, VA, USA. The plant, based on proprietary Mitsubishi’s polymer technology, will increase the global production capacity by more than 20 million pounds by the middle of 2004. The company has successfully completed the expansion projects that began in early 2001 and owns approximately 30 million pounds production capabilities in Niigata, Japan. This new plant is based on technology developed and patented by Mitsubishi.
