At the SAIE international trade show for building industrialisation, ThyssenKrupp Acciai Speciali Terni presented a new type of coloured stainless steel, Vernest. In a building shown by Tecnocoperture, two basic aspects of the material that optimises costs, durability, safety and easy assembly were emphasised. The manufacturing cycle is simplified because it is not necessary to carry out surface preparation treatments and after-painting. Fire safety is improved because, thanks to materials which guarantee slow deterioration of mechanical properties, a high modulus of elasticity is maintained as temperatures increase.
