Effective 1 August 2001, Giovanni Vespasiani will be the new chairman of the management board of Acciai Speciali Terni (AST). As successor of Attilio Angelini, Giovanni Vespasiani as chairman and head of production, purchasing, personnel and public relations, will manage the company together with Mauro Borghesi (head of sales and marketing) and Dr Arno Pfannschmidt (controlling, finances and accounting, legal, internal audit, administration). Mr Angelini, who has managed the company for 14 years, retires as he has now reached retirement age. He will remain as a member of the governing board of AST.
