New EPMA booklet out

The 6th Edition of the European Powder Metallurgy Association’s (EPMA) “Introduction to Powder Metallurgy, The Process and its Products” is now available to order from the EPMA website, Publications section. The original 1992 edition by Gordon Dowson, has been substantially revised by David Whittaker and the EPMA for the new 2008 release. The 32-page full colour booklet includes new images and text relating to powder metal components, production methods, the capabilities of using powder metallurgy, as well as types of products and applications that benefit from the PM manufacturing process. According to Andrew Almond, EPMA’s Marketing Manager, the title contains information on powder manufacturing techniques as well as details of how sintered parts are produced and alternative powder shaping methods, such as Metal Injection Moulding. The booklet is provided free of charge to European residents and is a must for students and anyone interested in Powder Metallurgy.
