New corrosion test loop with capacity

In the frame of an industrial consortium (CORRTEX) gathering 6 partners located in the “Rhône-Alpesâ€? region, The French Corrosion Institute is operating with the French Petroleum Institute and New Energies (IFPEN) a corrosion test loop with capacity (200bar / 350°C). This tool can be used for testing in well controlled harsh environment (e.g. possibility of pH adjustment under pressure) and allows for the injection of chemicals like corrosion inhibitors.

The loop is currently hosted by the Axel’One cluster in Solaize and was partly funded by the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region (IRICE fund). It can be easily adapted for testing under controlled hydrodynamic conditions or for dual phase media (liquid-liquid). The tool is available for consultancies or collaborative research.
