Stahl Schaltgerate (Germany) has launched an updated version of its mini CLIX plug connector system. As well as plastic and nickel-plated brass, mini CLIX is now available in the high-quality AISI 316L stainless steel demanded by users in the pharmaceutical and food industries. Another new innovation is a version suitable for installation in Ex d housings with volumes exceeding two litres. This is can be used in Zone 1 for explosion group IIC. Mini CLIX is designed to let users install, service or exchange all devices and systems during Zone 1 operation without disconnection and without procuring a special permit. The new mini CLIX Ex d device plug and flange socket installation variants are now also available with an NPT thread as well as metric M20 thread, they are suitable for all applications at an international level.
