The Supervisory Board of Linde AG has appointed Dr Wolfgang Reitzle (53), effective on 10 May 2002, as a member of its Executive Board and effective 1 January 2003, as the
CEO of the Linde Group. Mr Gerhard Full (65), who has been a member of the Board since
January 1978 and its CEO since May 1997, is going to retire at the end of the current year. Mr Aldo Belloni (52), member of the Board since January 2000, shall succeed as planned, in 2003 Mr. Full as the CEO of the Gas and Engineering Business Unit.
