Andre J. de Nysschen has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Highveld Steel and Vanadium Corporation (HVL) with effect from 1 November. De Nysschen was previously responsible for all the South African furniture manufacturing operations in the Steinhoff Africa Group and, prior to that, was the COO of Murray and Roberts where he had worked for 19 years. Trevor Jones, the current executive chairman, will retire as CEO and will continue as the non-executive chairman of Highveld Steel, the company added.
