MTTA becomes MTA

The Machine Tool Technologies Association (MTTA) has changed its name to the Manufacturing Technologies Association (MTA). The change will take effect immediately. Simon Brown, Director General of the MTA, commented: “We see the new identity as a positive development […] The Association has to evolve and change its name to reflect accurately the activities of its member companies. At present the name suggests that the membership only consists of machine tool companies and this is not the case. Current member companies include equipment suppliers of CADCAM, filtration systems, metrology, tooling and many other associated technologies, as well as suppliers of machine tools.” The website will change its name from www.mtta.org.uk to www.mta.org.uk.
