Mittal Steel said that the closing date of its offer for Arcelor might be extended slightly as a result of the improvements to its bid announced earlier on 19 May 2006. Mittal Steel CFO Mr Aditya Mittal said during a conference call “The offer period is open to 29 June and the close might be slightly extended because of the revision of this offer.â?
