Yokogawa Electric Corp. has recently been awarded contracts for several major projects in the Middle East region. In Saudi Arabia, this includes work on the Saudi Aramco Khursaniyah gas plant and crude producing facilities, Hawiyah NGL recovery plant, and Juaymah Gas Plant/New Module IV; a multi-plant complex for a Saudi Aramco/Sumitomo Chemical joint venture (Petro-Rabigh); a multi-plant petrochemical complex that is being developed by Sabic in Yanbu; and a Saudi Aramco Shell refinery revamping project in Jubail. In Abu Dhabi, Yokogawa has been awarded two major projects, GASCO OGD-III and GASCO Ruwais Train 3. In Bahrain, Yokogawa is also supplying the control system and field instruments for the BAPCO low sulphur diesel project. The total amount of the contracts recently secured by the Yokogawa Group in the region exceeds USD 200 million. In addition, Yokogawa Middle East will be establishing a new engineering centre this year in Jebel Ali in the UAE.
