Mexinox plans expansion

ThyssenKrupp Mexinox has announced that it plans to lift its stainless steel production capacity by 15% in 2009 and the CR coil production will rise from 295,000tns to 340,000tns. At present, 85% HR coils with around 2.55 million tons per year of Mexinox come from Acciai Speciali Terni. Every year, Mexinox sells 260,000tns of CRC to Mexico, USA and Canada. Mexinox occupied US and Mexico CR coil market for 12% and 72% respectively.
