Metalloinvest Management Company appointed a new Board of Directors Andrey Varichev has been appointed as the CEO of Metalloinvest.
Ivan Streshinsky, Chairman of Metalloinvest’s Board of Directors, said, “The changes in structure and composition of the Board of Directors aim to further improve the company’s corporate governance practices. The knowledge and experience of the new Board members will facilitate determining the most effective ways of executing chosen strategy.
Varichev takes over from Eduard Potapov, who served as the CEO of Metalloinvest since March 2010. Potapov, who assumed his role in a challenging economic environment, was instrumental in giving structure to the financial and operational activities of Metalloinvest.
Other members of the Board include Chairman of the Board Ivan Streshinsky; Independent Non-Executive Directors Galina Aglyamova, Valery Kazikayev and Vadim Levin; Non-Executive Directors Irina Lupicheva and Natalia Chumachenko; and Executive Director Andrey Varichev.
