Mechel appoints deputy CEO

Mechel has appointed Alexey Ivanushkin its first deputy CEO. Ivanushkin will be in charge of Mechel’s strategic development issues, optimising the company’s structure and disposal of non-core assets.
 
 
 

Prior to his appointment, Ivanushkin had been working as the CEO of Oriel Resources (part of Mechel Group) since 2009. He served as Mechel’s COO from 2004 to 2009. From 2003 to 2004, Ivanushkin held the position of Mechel Steel Group CEO. From 1999 to 2002, Ivanushkin served as the CEO of Chelyabinsk Metallurgical Plant.
