McDermott International, Inc., a global leader in providing integrated engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) services for upstream offshore oil and gas fields worldwide, has announced the launch of its First Digital Innovation Center in Pune, India.
McDermott’s key focus is to develop and utilize innovative digital solutions to lead the transformation in offshore oil and gas projects. Also, the facility will encourage high technology employment opportunities in the local area.
The Digital Innovation Center will serve as a technology epicenter to support McDermott’s India plans for growth as well as support McDermott’s digital initiatives globally. The technology innovations will be primarily used to develop external solutions for the oil and gas market.
The Digital Innovation Center will focus on three main areas – Digital Innovation Delivery, Digital Product Management and the Digital Experience. The center is expected to further supplement the organization and the clients to give a more real-life and 3D view of the projects that will be developed in the labs.
