Maxflow compact filter system

GKD-CompactFiltration of GKD – Gebr. Kufferath AG has released its Maxflow compact filter system as a new generation of filter for the metalworking industry. The business unit of the company will present its modular system at the international trade fair for Cleaning in Production and Maintenance Processes – parts2clean – in Stuttgart, Germany. The compact filter works without filter aids, combines filtration and briquetting into one unit. The modular compact unit is designed specifically for a particular process and can be individually adjusted to the material being processed via its integrated control system. The Maxflow compact filter system is equipped with the YMAX multi-layered stainless steel composite mesh. For the design GKD identifies the optimum filtration properties of the metal mesh used through the GeoDict simulation software. This solution was developed in cooperation with the Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Mathematics. The standard design of a Maxflow filter consists of a filter unit with either six (Maxflow 503) or twelve (Maxflow 504) filter discs and a 1000 litre tank. This can be increased to 2500 litres as required. A dirt tank integrated into the clean tank effectively prevents deposits from accumulating thanks to the tapered outlet in the tank floor.
