The construction arm of L&T has won orders worth Rs 2231 Cr across various business segments.
The business has bagged a turnkey order worth Rs 1324 Cr from Andhra Pradesh Township Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd. for the construction of residential buildings in the West Godavari District of Andhra Pradesh. The project is the part of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) scheme and consists of residential tenements for the economical weaker sections. The scope of work includes construction of around 22,000 residential units on a fast track mode.
Further major orders worth Rs 540 Cr have also been awarded. A transmission line order has been secured from Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. to build a section in the ±800kV HVDC bipole link between the Western and Southern Regions.
The business has won an order worth Rs 367 Cr from Tamil Nadu Water Supply & Drainage Board to execute a dedicated water supply project for Erode Corporation. The scope includes construction of an intake cum pump house in the river Cauvery, a 120 MLD water treatment plant, water storage structures along with supply & laying of clear water mains, feeder mains and distribution system.
