SSAB has appointed Martin Lindqvist as their new CEO. At present, he is the head of the company’s largest business area, SSAB EMEA and will succeed Olof Faxander effective 1 January 2011. Faxander will take a new position as CEO of Sandvik AB. Lindqvist began his career at SSAB in 1998 where he served as CFO of the company’s Strip business from 1999-2000, as Group CFO from 2001-2008, as Head of the Strip Products Division from 2008-2009, and as Head of the business area SSAB EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) since 2010.
