Leadership update, ArcelorMittal North America

Robrecht Himpe, executive vice president of ArcelorMittal and chief executive officer AM/NS Calvert, has recently been appointed as the chief executive officer of ArcelorMittal North America, effective July 1, 2016. He will remain based in Calvert, providing executive leadership to both organizations.

In his new role, Himpe has oversight of ArcelorMittal Mexico, ArcelorMittal Dofasco and ArcelorMittal North America Tubular Products. ArcelorMittal Long Carbon Canada is still led by Sean Donnelly, CEO of ArcelorMittal Dofasco who reports to Himpe. The integrated operations and their downstream assets which formally come under the ArcelorMittal USA business unit are still led by John Brett, CEO of ArcelorMittal USA. Himpe and Brett report directly to Mr. Mittal, chairman and CEO, ArcelorMittal.
