Lapham-Hickey Steel has acquired SMC Metal Fabricators, Oshkosh, Wis. SMC is a leading fabricator with 115,000 square feet of manufacturing space located next door to Lapham-Hickey’s two existing Oshkosh facilities. SMC offers a full range of laser cutting, forming, welding, powder coat painting and assembly services. The acquisition is expected to close on Sept. 30. Lapham-Hickey Steel is a fourth-generation family-owned and operated full-line carbon service center. The company has 12 locations throughout the Midwest, East Coast and Southeast.
