Kuwait: oil investments

Kuwait is planning to invest up to USD 40 billion over the next 15 years to modernise its oil facilities and boost capacity to 4 million barrels a day, the chief executive of the state energy company said. “We have a massive investment program… We plan to spend between USD 30 billion to 40 billion in the next 15 years,â€? Hani Hussein of the Kuwait Petroleum Corp. (KPC), said. “We have a large number of projects… to raise our output capacity to four million barrels per day (bpd) by 2020… This needs an investment of USD 20 billion. We need the help of international companies,â€? Hussein said.
