KSB acquires stainless pump maker

KSB has taken over the Dutch pump supplier DP Industries BV, retroactive from 1 January 2003. The contract was signed in Frankenthal on 16 May. With DP Industries, KSB acquires a very profitable company that has extensive experience both in designing and manufacturing stainless sheet steel pumps. KSB plans to turn the DP factory in Alphen with a staff of 280 into its competence centre for stainless sheet steel products by 2005. The portfolio of the new KSB Group company comprises above all pumps made of deep-drawn stainless sheet steel for building services and industrial applications. In addition, the company is the leading supplier of pressure boosting systems in its domestic market. Thanks to KSB’s global sales network, a wider range of customers will in future be able to benefit from the Dutch products.
