Panu Routila has been appointed president and CEO of Konecranes. Routila will start in his new position during the autumn, but no later than by the end of the year. He succeeds Pekka Lundmark who will leave Konecranes in September to pursue his career outside the company. The Board of Directors of Konecranes has appointed CFO Teo Ottola as the deputy CEO.
Routila will transfer from Ahlström Capital where he has been president and CEO since 2008. Routila has experience from listed companies via his duties as a Board member and chairperson of the Board of Ahlstrom Corporation since 2014 and from Vacon where he was a Board member and chairperson of the Board in 2010–2015.
