KOCKS and LAP present the jointly developed 4D EAGLE S measuring system for precise profile measurement and surface inspection. As part of a far-reaching strategic alliance, the two companies offer steel producers advanced measuring systems for various applications in the future.
The system uses laser light section technology to capture the complete profile of long products and precisely detect and classify various rolling defects. Users can access the modern software application SMART CORE X for a detailed analysis of the acquired data. 4D EAGLE S can also be integrated into higher-level quality assurance systems using OPC-UA.
Two systems have already been successfully installed and put into operation at a well-known German steel producer.
