Kobe Steel in talks to construct US plant

Kobe Steel Limited is in talks with Cliffs Natural Resources Inc to build a USD 200 million plant in the US. The factory, to be located either in Michigan or elsewhere in the US, is under consideration and details haven’t been ironed out as yet. Kobe Steel is looking to expand the use of its ITmk3 technology in a plant that will produce iron nuggets from low grade iron ore.
