Kimmo Väkiparta resigns as CEO of BE Group

Kimmo Väkiparta has informed his intent to resign from his position as President and CEO of BE Group to the Board of Directors. “My task was primarily to significantly strengthen the Group’s competitiveness through various cost reduction programs. This task is now completed and, therefore, I think it is time for a more market-oriented CEO to take over”, says Kimmo Väkiparta.

“I want to thank Kimmo for his contribution. He has been CEO during a tough time for the industry”, says Chairman Anders Ullberg. A recruitment process for the appointment of a new CEO has started and the Board of Directors has appointed Lars Engström, former President and CEO of Munters, as acting President and CEO with effect from 25 August 2014.
