Kemppi Oy appoints Kalle Suurpää as CEO

Kalle Suurpää, aged 49, has been appointed as the incoming CEO of welding company Kemppi Oy, commencing his duties on August 1, 2024. With a robust background in leadership, Suurpää previously held the position of Vice President at Valmet Corporation’s Valve Controls and Actuators business unit. His extensive career includes notable roles at Neles Oy and Metso Flow Control, showcasing his expertise in product and technology development. Suurpää’s experience at Nokia further demonstrates his grasp of innovative technologies and global business dynamics.

Teresa Kemppi-Vasama, Chairperson of Kemppi Oy’s Board of Directors, expresses enthusiasm for Suurpää’s appointment, citing his demonstrated leadership and international business acumen. In the interim, Katri Sahlman will continue to serve as CEO until Suurpää assumes his new role in August.
