JSW Steel & JFE collaborate to use CPS technology

India’s JSW Steel Co. Ltd. and Japan’s JFE Steel Co. said they have begun cooperation to demonstrate cloud-based cyber-physical system (CPS). This is the first time that JFE has provided its proprietary CPS capability to JSW Steel through data in a cloud-base environment.

JFE has introduced this technology in seven blast furnaces of JSW Steel, using data from the Blast Furnace cloud-based cyber-physical system (BF-CPS) to improve blast furnace operating efficiency, help achieve production stability, and also reduce carbon dioxide emissions during the production process.
