Jiuquan Steel’s newly build 200,000tpy stainless steel cold rolling line underwent test runs on 30 August 2007. A company official said it would go into official production in the following months, but did not reveal planned output for the current year. This year’s output of stainless steel slab and HRC will however rise 69% and 78%YoY respectively to 300,000tns each.
