Jindal Stainless launches Project Pragati

Jindal Stainless, India’s major stainless steel manufacturer, has announced the launch of Project Pragati—a pioneering digital transformation initiative aimed at automating the production process from casting to finishing at its Hisar manufacturing unit. Pragati integrates advanced planning and execution technologies through Dassault Systèmes’ Delmia applications, with Capgemini as the implementation partner, to significantly boost productivity and elevate customer experience.

With Pragati’s implementation, customer lead times are expected to reduce by 10–15%, which will significantly improve delivery performance. Pragati will also optimise inventory costs by 8–10% through real-time tracking and intelligent allocation. Furthermore, this digital solution will enhance capacity utilisation by approximately 5%, driven by improved visibility into equipment loading and route optimisation.
