By incorporating stainless steel into salt trailers, the company addresses long-standing challenges such as corrosion, low durability, shorter lifespan, and high maintenance costs. The trailers provide lightweight, corrosion-resistant, energy-efficient, and sustainable solutions for salt logistics players.
Jindal Stainless has used advanced 304 and JT (N7, as per BIS 6911 specifications) grades of stainless steel, known for their superior corrosion and fire resistance, higher strength, and excellent impact performance. The stainless steel trailers are estimated to achieve a 25% weight reduction, potentially saving INR 25–30 lakhs over 10 years, with an expected lifespan of 15–20 years.
