Jacquet expands

Jacquet Mid Atlantic Inc., a stainless and nickel alloy plate distributor and subsidiary of Jacquet Metals SA, has added a West Coast service center located in Irvine, California. This will be the fourth operating location for the group in the USA and the third subsidiary for Jacquet Mid Atlantic Inc. The facility in Irvine is an 83,000sq/ft building with 3 bays and six cranes. The company has installed a large waterjet (10ft x 20ft) and plasma system (14 x 44) similar to the previous facilities in Houston, Texas and Racine, Wisconsin. Jacquet West will begin its sales effort in March 2008 and after installation of cutting equipment expects to be processing plate products by the end of 2nd Quarter. Kevin McKown, a former General Manager at Curtis Wright, Crane Co. and Flowserve, has been named to head this location and brings over 20yrs of management experience in the oil refining, power generation and the process industries. In addition, Jacquet West has added a strong seasoned commercial manager in Dave Petrik. Mr Petrik was a former Vincent Metal Goods, Integris and Ryerson sales executive on the west coast and will immediately bring a wide range of customer and product knowledge to this new location. In addition, Jacquet Mid Atlantic opened a sales office in November 2006 in Charlotte, North Carolina and continues to grow its presence in the Southeast USA.
