Jacobs wins contract from Marathon Ashland

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. has won a contract from Marathon Ashland Petroleum LLC (MAP). The Front End Engineering and Design (FEED) services contract is for upgrading the fluid catalytic cracking capability of MAP’s refinery at Catlettsburg, Kentucky, USA. Officials did not disclose the contract value but estimate the completion of the project in the fourth quarter of 2003. The project will enhance the production of clean fuels for the region and is part of an overall programme to upgrade MAP’s refining operations to improve production efficiencies and increase profitability.
