The International Stainless Steel Forum has republished its document on Stainless Steel in Filtration. A wide panorama of stainless steel usage in filtration applications is available ranging from the oil and gas industry, water applications, filtration of air, filtration in food and beverage and automotive applications.
Stainless steels are most of the time used for their corrosion and abrasion resistance and also for their hygienic and cleanability properties and their environmental friendliness. Their high-temperature properties, strength and toughness and energy absorption properties are often an additional reason to choose stainless steels.
